ANNOUNCEMENTS
Church Nursery: URGENT NEED
We are in need of nursery workers. We are going to close the nursery for the next two weeks due to Covid and the lack of volunteers. If you would like to make yourself available to volunteer in the church nursery on a regular basis (once every 2 months or so) please email Sherry Bradford (bradfordartists@verizon.net) or Pastor Wagner (robert.wagner92gmail.com).
Sunday School
We are hoping and planning to have Sunday School classes beginning on September 12th. We will begin at 9:15 am each Sunday and Pastor Wagner will be leading us in a study of Instruments in the Redeemer’s Hand by Paul Tripp. Please plan to join us.
Community Groups
We are hoping and planning to have Community Groups again this Fall. We plan to have a group hosted in central Denton and then a group that will be centered further south. Details to come soon!
Prayer Meeting
We have an in-person prayer meeting Sunday mornings before the worship service at 9:45 am to pray for the ministry of the church. ALL are
welcome.
Women’s Ministries
We are in the process of planning several events for the Fall. Please keep your ears open for further information in the coming weeks.
Men’s Fellowship
We will be trying something a little different this Fall. We will be having a Bible Study at Pastor Wagner’s house on the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the month at 7:00 pm. We will be studying the Life of David: A Man After God’s Own Heart. Then on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays, we will
meet at East Side in Denton for fellowship and refreshments. Please join us!
TO MASK OR NOT TO MASK?
The CDC has recently recommended that even those fully vaccinated may inadvertently spread the new Delta variant and are recommending masks when indoors and in large groups. The Delta Variant appears to be especially easy to transmit. Please be prayerful for those impacted by COVID. Please be mindful that we have some attendees who may not be vaccinated at all and/or may have medical conditions that impact their immune system – despite vaccination. We pray that everyone be considerate and patient during this challenging time. If you have any questions or concerns, reach out to us via the Contact Us form or speak directly to any of the Elders or Deacons.
PHILIPPIANS 2:1-4 Therefore if you have any encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his love, if any common sharing in the Spirit, if any tenderness and compassion, then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and of one mind. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.
